So I got an old copy of GOW 1 and started playing through on Casual to get the story while picking up some COG tags. Talk about a step back, looks like old Xbox original graphics compared to #2 and the controls seem clumsier/rougher than the later game even though they are the same.

On to my question: Do you unlock Insane mode like you do on GOW2? I've read posts in several differ...

One of the best RPG's that I have played. You really have to be a FF person as this game is the same type. Final Fantasy VIII will always be my favorite of all the FF games.
Back to LO - over 120 hours into this game and I still don't fave all the things done I want to, so I finished the game last night (or should I say wee hours) and started a new game. Why new - because I needed things...

Not like I didnt suspect another movie based game to be terrific.
Once I got past the coolness of those silver bods and red eyes, the man against machine action and a familiar soundtrack didnt cut it for too long. I started out on HARD difficulty but it was just too draining to have to sit and watch un-changing cut scenes and load screens ...

Fun, fun, FUN game!
Amazing rendition of Manhattan. Incredible depth of environment. Very cinematic and a definate play.
That being said, I am about 3/4 of the way thru and the excitement has worn off. Ive had my fun.
It has now become a bit old. They story is beginning to be a bit ho-hum and the play somewhat repetitive.
